Jujutsu Kaisen Incremental — Complete Beginner's Guide

Jujutsu Kaisen Incremental is a Roblox idle RPG developed by Real Mouse Productions, inspired by the Jujutsu Kaisen anime. You build a sorcerer through four independent systems: Clan, Cursed Technique (CT), Trait, and Fighting Style. Each is randomly assigned at creation and rerollable later. This guide covers everything you need to know to build efficiently from Grade 4 all the way to Special Grade and beyond.

Full walkthrough covering core mechanics, roll priority, and grade progression.

The Four Core Systems

Every character in Jujutsu Kaisen Incremental is defined by exactly four components. Understanding what each does — and how they interact — is the most important foundation for new players. A strong build isn't just about having a rare CT; it's about all four systems synergizing together. See the full Tier List for rankings.

Clan

Passive Buffs

Your bloodline. Provides permanent passive stat bonuses active at all times. Gojo clan gives +50 CE Efficiency and +30 Output — the best for CE builds. Zenin gives +30 Strength and +20 Agility — best for physical builds. Synergy with your CT is critical.

Best: Gojo (CE) / Zenin (Physical)
Reroll: Clan Scroll

Cursed Technique

Combat Identity

Your active combat abilities. The single most impactful part of your build. Each CT has a unique passive multiplier plus 3–5 moveset slots unlocked through Mastery grinding. Rarity ranges from Common (50%) to Cursed (0.1%). Your CT defines your entire playstyle.

Best: Limitless / Shrine / Mahoraga
Reroll: CT Scroll

Trait

Permanent Modifier

A permanent build modifier that stacks on top of everything else. Six Eyes adds +200 CE Efficiency. Heavenly Restriction trades all CE for +300 Strength and Agility — enabling a completely different physical build path. Black Flash Spark adds +10% Black Flash chance. Traits can completely redirect how a build plays.

Best: Six Eyes / Heavenly Restriction
Reroll: Trait Scroll

Fighting Style

Combat Stance

Your combat stance. Each style has a unique base passive and 4 moves unlocked by Mastery. Heavenly Tyrant multiplies all physical damage by 3×. Assassin deals 2.5× against Vulnerable enemies. Jujutsu Sorcerer multiplies CE-based techniques by 2×. Jujutsu Sorcerer + Limitless is the standard CE meta.

Best: Heavenly Tyrant / Assassin / Jujutsu Sorcerer
Reroll: Style Scroll

Rarity System & Drop Rates

All four systems use the same 5-tier rarity system. These rates apply equally to CT, Clan, Trait, and Fighting Style rerolls. There is no pity system — every roll is independent. Higher rarity always means stronger options, but the jump from Common → Epic is more impactful than Epic → Legendary for most builds.

Rarity Drop Rate Avg Rolls 90% Chance by Examples
⬛ Common 50.0% ~2 ~4 rolls Divergent Fist CT, Basic Clan
🟦 Rare 30.0% ~3 ~7 rolls Nanami Clan, Shadow Style
🟪 Epic 15.0% ~7 ~14 rolls Itadori Clan, Taido Style
🟨 Legendary 4.9% ~20 ~46 rolls Zenin Clan, Sword Draw Iai
🟥 Cursed 0.1% ~1,000 ~2,302 rolls Gojo Clan, Limitless, Six Eyes

What to Roll First — Priority Order

Scrolls are scarce in early game. Use the 4 active codes (CULLINGGAME, SP24, BUGS, 1MVISITS) for free rerolls immediately — see our Codes page for the full list. Spend them in this priority order. For reroll math and efficiency, read the Reroll Guide.

1

Cursed Technique

Min target: Epic (15%) Dream: Limitless / Shrine / Mahoraga (0.1%)

CT is your combat identity. A Common CT at endgame will always feel weak. Aim for Epic minimum before Grade 2. Every code you have should go here first.

💡 Use all 4 code rerolls on CT. If you roll Cursed, stop here — reroll Trait next.
2

Trait

Min target: Epic (15%) Dream: Six Eyes (CE) / Heavenly Restriction (Physical)

A Cursed-rarity trait completely changes your build's ceiling. Six Eyes + Limitless CT is the #1 CE meta. Heavenly Restriction enables a totally different physical path that can out-DPS CE builds in specific scenarios.

💡 If you roll Heavenly Restriction, switch your entire build to physical — Zenin clan + Heavenly Tyrant style.
3

Clan

Min target: Rare (30%) Dream: Gojo (CE builds) / Zenin (Physical builds)

Clan bonuses matter but are less decisive than CT tier. Lock in your CT first so you know which stat direction to optimize. Gojo for CE builds, Zenin for physical.

💡 Don't spend CT scrolls on clan. They use different scroll types — farm clan scrolls through gameplay.
4

Fighting Style

Min target: Epic (15%) Dream: Heavenly Tyrant (Physical) / Assassin (Burst)

Fighting Styles are the most flexible system. The tier gap between styles is smaller than the CT tier gap. Unlock moves through Mastery before judging power — an under-leveled S-tier style can feel weaker than a maxed B-tier.

💡 Heavenly Tyrant + Zenin clan + Heavenly Restriction = the physical meta. Jujutsu Sorcerer + Gojo clan + Six Eyes = CE meta.

⚠️ Curse Race — Do Not Select Unless You Know What You're Doing

At character creation, Curse Race appears as an option. Selecting it permanently wipes ALL data — all prestiges, stats, grades, and gear are deleted. In return, you lose all clan passives but gain two unique moves: Cursed Regeneration (4 Mastery, passive regen) and Cursed Metamorphosis (6 Mastery, heal 40% and gain 2× damage for 3 turns). This is a niche build option for experienced players only. Not recommended for beginners or anyone with meaningful progress.

Grade Progression at a Glance

Grades are Jujutsu Kaisen Incremental's primary progression tiers (see Grade System). You start at Grade 4 and advance by accumulating Cursed Energy through combat. Each grade unlocks new enemies, bosses, and tools.

Grade Key Unlock Build Target
Grade 4 Starting point — redeem codes here Reroll CT to Epic+

CE Farming Tips for Beginners

Cursed Energy (CE) is the core resource. It's your power stat, your currency, and your progression fuel. Here's how to maximize it early:

Stay logged in

Idle CE accumulation never stops. Even offline, CE ticks based on your CE Efficiency stat. Log in daily to collect and spend.

Fight in your highest zone

Combat CE scales with enemy difficulty. Always push to the hardest enemy tier you can survive for maximum CE per fight.

Use Cursed Surge buff

Jujutsu Sorcerer style's CE Reinforcement (150 Mastery) grants Cursed Surge — boosts both defense and output before big fights.

Boss farming > regular combat

Bosses give 8–15× more CE per time invested than regular enemies, plus exclusive Cursed Tool drops you can't get elsewhere. See the <a href="/guides/boss-farming-guide/" class="text-violet-400 hover:underline">Boss Farming Guide</a> for routes and HP tables.

Black Flash procs = CE jackpot

Black Flashes randomly multiply CE gain per hit. Traits like Black Flash Spark (+10% BF chance) and Cursed Tools can dramatically increase farm speed.

Prestige at Special Grade

<a href="/guides/prestige/" class="text-violet-400 hover:underline">Prestiging</a> resets your Grade but permanently multiplies your CE gain. It's the single biggest progression step in the game — don't delay it.

Video: Max CT Mastery Fast

CT Mastery unlocks your technique's most powerful moves. This is the fastest method to grind to max Mastery and unlock your full moveset.

Beginner FAQ

Should I keep a Common CT and grind its Mastery, or reroll immediately?

If you have 3+ scrolls, reroll first — a Common CT at max Mastery still loses to an Epic CT at half Mastery. If you only have 1 scroll, grind Mastery while you accumulate more. Don't completely ignore Mastery while waiting to reroll.

What's the difference between CE Efficiency and CE Output?

CE Efficiency controls how fast you accumulate CE passively (idle income + combat gain rate). CE Output controls how much CE damage your techniques deal in combat. Gojo clan gives +50 Efficiency and +30 Output. For farming speed, Efficiency > Output. For boss damage, Output matters more.

Is Curse Race permanent even if I reroll my clan?

Yes. Curse Race is a permanent character flag set at creation. Even if you reroll your clan using a Clan Scroll, the Curse Race designation and its unique moves remain. The only way to remove it is to delete your character and start over.

When should I first attempt a boss?

Attempt Hiromi Higuruma (Grade 3 boss, 5,000 CE fee) once you have at least one CT move unlocked and your CE output can survive 6–8 turns of combat. For every boss after that, check our <a href="/guides/boss-farming-guide/" class="text-violet-400 hover:underline">Boss Farming Guide</a> for minimum build recommendations before spending the CE entry fee.

What happens if I run out of CE?

Combat requires CE to use moves, but you can still do basic attacks with zero CE. Idle accumulation never stops — you'll regenerate CE over time. With Cursed Regeneration (Curse Race) or the CE Reinforcement move (Jujutsu Sorcerer), you can sustain CE mid-fight better.
