Jujutsu Kaisen Incremental — Cursed Techniques Guide

Cursed Techniques (CTs) are the most impactful component of your build in Jujutsu Kaisen Incremental. Each CT defines your combat identity — your passive bonus, your available moves, and your ceiling as a sorcerer. CTs are unlocked through Mastery grinding rather than automatic level-up. See the full list and tier rankings on Cursed Techniques and Tier List. All data on this page is sourced directly from the official developer Trello board (updated March 11, 2026 by meowtheturtle).

How CT Mastery Works

CT Mastery is a separate progress bar from your Grade and CE total. You earn Mastery by dealing damage with your CT moves in combat. Each CT has 4–5 move unlock thresholds — reaching those thresholds permanently unlocks the move for that CT.

Mastery resets on Prestige. After each Prestige, your first priority is re-grinding CT Mastery to re-unlock your key moves. The fastest way is repeated Hiromi Higuruma boss fights (see Boss Farming Guide) — bosses give significantly more Mastery XP per time invested than regular enemies.

Unlike Grade or CE, Mastery does not carry over between CTs. If you reroll your CT, your Mastery starts at 0 for the new technique. This is why CT rerolling should be front-loaded before heavy Mastery grinding, not after.

All CTs — Full Breakdown

Limitless

Cursed — 0.1% Tier S
Passive

CE-based moves deal bonus damage based on CE Efficiency stat

Moves (from Trello — exact data)
Move Mastery CE Cost Status Notes
Cursed Reinforcement 1 - None Passive: CE efficiency bonus always active
Infinity 3 3 Block Reduces all incoming damage
Hollow Purple 5 8 Vulnerable Flagship AoE technique
Blue Pull 4 5 None High single-target CE burst
Red Repel 6 10 Stun Max damage move + Stun

The premier CE technique. Passive CE efficiency scaling means Gojo clan + Six Eyes synergy is the strongest farming build in the game. Hollow Purple is one of the highest damage AoE moves available.

Best build: Gojo clan + Six Eyes trait + Jujutsu Sorcerer style

Mahoraga CT

Cursed — 0.1% Tier S
Passive

Adaptation: Gain resistance stacks to damage types. Adaptation grants stronger resistances.

Moves (from Trello — exact data)
Move Mastery CE Cost Status Notes
Divine General's Strike 1 2 None Base physical technique
Eight-Handled Slash 3 4 Bleed Applies Bleed on hit
Wheel of Adaptation 5 6 Pierce +20% damage vs Mahoraga boss
Convergence 7 10 Stun Heavy CC finisher

Unique mechanic CT. The Adaptation passive stacks resistances to damage types you're hit with over time — unique to this CT. Owner gets +20% damage against the Mahoraga boss. Niche but extremely powerful in the right hands.

Best build: Any clan + Perfect Body trait (survivability for Adaptation stacking)

Shrine

Legendary — 4.9% Tier S
Passive

Slashing techniques deal bonus damage scaling with CE Output

Moves (from Trello — exact data)
Move Mastery CE Cost Status Notes
Cleave 1 2 Bleed Applies Bleed, fast cooldown
Dismantle 3 4 None High burst AoE
Malevolent Shrine 6 8 Vulnerable Ultimate AoE — highest DPS move
Hollow Wicker 8 12 Stun Max damage finisher

Top-tier S-rank Legendary. Malevolent Shrine's AoE damage is competitive with Hollow Purple. Bleed application from Cleave enables sustained damage. Widely regarded as the best obtainable CT for most players before rolling Cursed.

Best build: Gojo clan + Six Eyes + Jujutsu Sorcerer

Blood Manipulation

Legendary — 4.9% Tier A
Passive

Techniques apply Bleed automatically on every hit

Moves (from Trello — exact data)
Move Mastery CE Cost Status Notes
Blood Rain 2 3 Bleed AoE Bleed applicator
Convergence 4 5 Vulnerable Single-target burst
Flowing Red Scale 6 8 Cursed Surge Self-buff + AoE
Blood Edge 8 10 Pierce Pierce finisher

Strong sustained DPS through automatic Bleed application on every hit. Kamo clan synergy is thematic and functional. Excellent for boss fights where sustained Bleed damage over many turns outperforms burst builds.

Best build: Kamo clan + Rika's Arm (Bleed stacking)

Cursed Strikes

Epic — 15% Tier B
Passive

Basic attacks deal CE-infused bonus damage

Moves (from Trello — exact data)
Move Mastery CE Cost Status Notes
Reinforced Strike 1 1 None Enhanced basic attack
Guarded Stance 3 3 Evasion Defensive utility
Overdrive 5 5 Cursed Surge Self-buff phase
Final Impact 7 8 Vulnerable Heavy burst finisher

The most beginner-friendly CT. Enhanced basic attacks mean Cursed Strikes performs well even at low Mastery, making early game progression smooth. Relatively easy to reach 90th percentile DPS without maxing Mastery.

Best build: Any clan — flexible starter CT

Cursed Reinforcement

Epic — 15% Tier B
Passive

Increases base CE Cap and allows enhanced CE Reserves usage

Moves (from Trello — exact data)
Move Mastery CE Cost Status Notes
CE Armor 2 2 Block Defensive shield move
CE Burst 4 5 None Mid-range damage
CE Overdrive 6 7 Cursed Surge Self-buff + damage
CE Nova 8 10 Stun AoE finisher

Tank-oriented CE technique. The CE Cap passive means you can accumulate more CE between uses before capping out — better idle efficiency. CE Armor provides the best single-move damage mitigation of any CT. Good for players who prefer a defensive playstyle.

Best build: Gojo clan + Perfect Body trait (CE + defense)

Divergent Fist

Rare — 30% Tier C
Passive

Basic attacks have a chance to deal double damage

Moves (from Trello — exact data)
Move Mastery CE Cost Status Notes
Heavy Blow 1 1 None Enhanced basic punch
Rising Kick 3 2 Stun CC utility
Divergent Crash 5 4 Vulnerable Mid-damage burst
Impact Surge 7 6 None Finisher

The most commonly rolled CT. Functional for early game and Mastery grinding, but the double-damage proc rate is inconsistent. Best used as a grinding CT while saving scrolls for better options. Replace at Epic+ as soon as possible.

Best build: Any — designed as entry-level CT

Basic Cursed Energy

Common — 50% Tier D
Passive

Standard CE generation — no special passive

Moves (from Trello — exact data)
Move Mastery CE Cost Status Notes
CE Strike 1 1 None Basic CE attack
CE Blast 3 3 None Ranged CE damage
CE Wave 5 5 Stun AoE option
CE Explosion 7 7 Vulnerable Finisher

The baseline CT. No special passive, no unique mechanics. Useful only for learning combat fundamentals. Reroll immediately when you have scrolls — any other CT is better.

Best build: N/A — reroll as soon as possible

CT FAQ

What's the fastest way to grind CT Mastery?

Boss farming. Higuruma boss (5,000 CE fee) gives the best Mastery XP per time ratio for Grade 3+ players. Fight with your CT moves exclusively — basic attacks give minimal Mastery. Grind until you unlock move 2 (typically 150 Mastery) before escalating to Yuta.

Should I max Mastery on a Common CT or reroll first?

Reroll first if you have 3+ CT Scrolls. Mastery doesn't transfer between CTs — any Mastery you earn on a Common CT is lost when you reroll. Only grind Mastery on your 'keeper' CT. If you only have 1 scroll, do basic Mastery grinding to unlock move 1 while accumulating more scrolls.

Is Limitless actually worth 1,000 average rolls?

For endgame optimal farming — yes. But Shrine (Legendary, 4.9%) gives ~85% of Limitless's potential and is achievable in ~46 rolls. The CE-per-minute difference between Shrine and Limitless is meaningful but not game-breaking. Focus on Legendary as your practical goal.

What does Mahoraga CT's Adaptation passive actually do?

Adaptation stacks resistance to specific damage types that hit you. Take Fire damage 3 times — you gain reduced Fire damage taken. Over a fight, you become increasingly resistant to the enemy's move set. Against Mahoraga boss specifically, your CT owner gets +20% bonus damage.

Can I use Black Flash Focus (Brawler) if it's listed as 'currently does not work'?

Yes, you can use it, but the move description says it 'currently does not work' per the Trello — meaning the guaranteed Black Flash effect is bugged. It deals base damage but the Black Flash guarantee isn't functioning. Don't build around it until the developer patches it.
